The Terratorium 2023 Cabernet Franc, sourced from the historic Nervo Ranch Vineyard in Alexander Valley, is a bright ruby-colored wine that makes an immediate impression. Grown on steep, shale-rich slopes, the vineyard's unique terroir emphasizes the bold fruit and earthy complexity of the Cabernet Franc variety.

The 2023 vintage benefited from a cooler growing season and abundant rainfall, resulting in slow-ripened fruit with exceptional balance and concentration. Medium-plus bodied, this vintage bursts with flavors of black cherry and black plum, followed by notes of sweet tobacco and roasted pepper. Balanced by medium tannins and acidity, it’s structured yet versatile, making it ideal for food pairing or aging.

Hand-harvested from Clone 214 Cabernet Franc, the 2023 vintage showcases the cool season’s slow-ripened fruit. We recommend decanting or letting it breathe for 10-15 minutes before enjoying.

Nervo Ranch Vineyard, a new addition for Terratorium, is located at the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains and features some of its oldest plantings dating back to 1896. Nestled on steep, 25-35 degree slopes of decomposed shale, this vineyard's unique terroir imparts distinct character to the grapes. The rugged terrain allows for optimal drainage, promoting deep root systems and enhancing the expression of dark red fruit and herbaceous flavors in the wines. This combination of rich history and complex soil composition makes Nervo Ranch an exceptional site for crafting high-quality Cabernet Franc that captures the true essence of Alexander Valley.
