The Terratorium 2021 Cabernet Franc is bright ruby-colored wine that is striking in your glass. This wine balances the robust flavors of the T-T Ranch Vineyard and the finesse of low-intervention winemaking. The 2021 vintage revealed itself as medium-plus bodied and full of juicy flavors. Aromas and flavors of black cherry and blackberries are at the forefront of the first sip of this wine. True to the Cabernet Franc variety, herbaceous flavors of sweet tobacco and roasted pepper then wash over you senses adding complexity. On the palate, the generous tannins provide weight and structure to the wine with medium acidity. This wine has the ability to pair well with a wide range of foods and high aging potential. Our 2021 Cabernet Franc is 100% Clone 214 of the grape variety.  Decant or open this this wine to breathe for 10-15 minutes prior to enjoying.

Vineyard Notes

Located on the foothills of the Mayacamas mountains our block sits at 470 ft elevation overlooking the Alexander Valley AVA showcasing a diversity of rocky volcanic and shale soils characteristic of this area. This complex terroir lends itself to showcasing the dark red fruits and herbaceous flavors of the Cabernet Franc variety in a compelling way. The robust expression of the fruit profile is fitting for the rugged and rocky vineyard that was historically used as a cattle ranch before being converted to vines.
